Definition: [brehsh-ay-OH-lah] Originating in Lombardy, Italy, bresaola is air-dried salted beef fillet that has been aged about 2 months. Bresaola is usually thinly sliced, drizzled with olive oil and lemon juice and served as an antipasto.
