Its main function is to lighten the color and dilute the flavor of coffee. Nondairy creamers are made from ingredients such as coconut oil, palm oil or hydrogenated oil, sweeteners, emulsifiers and preservatives. Because they're so high in saturated fat, these pseudocream products are not recommended for those on low-cholesterol diets.
